1. To A Special Friend get well soon card, 2. To A Special Friend get well soon card - side, 3. 20100428 - Leopard Cub Fabric, 4. Mystery Birthday Project 14
Despite the lack of photographs this week, I really have been quite busy! Honest!
As you can see from the photos, I finally mounted the "To A Special Friend" Forever Friends Bear in a card as a get well soon gift for Janet. I posted it on Tuesday so she got it on Wednesday. I hope she liked it!
The third photo is a piece of fabric that I dyed for Jay to stitch Chris Hiett's Leopard Cub design that he wanted to have a go at. When he's in the mood. For more details (dye recipe etc) go here, or here for details of all the fabric I have dyed.
I have spent a fair amount of time stitching the Mystery Birthday Project, also known as Wendy's 60th birthday present, but unfortunately have reached a stand-still as I am still waiting for Franklins to call with the arrival of the gold Kreinik threads. I hope they don't take too long about it - Wendy's birthday is next Friday! I'm sure she won't mind if it's a little late, but I was rather hoping to get it to her on time... Maybe I'll pay them a visit tomorrow...
I can't share photos of the full project as it would be unfair - I share this blog on Facebook and am friends with Wendy on there, and it would be a bit rude to share photos of her birthday present before she receives it. Hence the sample photo.
In the meantime, while I am waiting for the Kreinik metallics to arrive, I am stitching Issy another bookmark, which should be finished by Monday if my one is anything to go by, and then I shall be starting on the Magical Snowman design by Wendy Darker. For more details on my queue, go here. There are links to pictures of some of the projects as well as links to some of the designers' websites. Enjoy!
