If you read my other blog, you will already know that I went a bit mad in the kitchen last weekend and baked up a storm! If so, you can scroll down a bit while I tell everyone else about it.
These days my main form of stress relief (aside from cross stitch, crochet and knitting of course!) is baking. Last weekend, feeling a bit on-edge, I went into the kitchen with a bunch of raw ingredients and after several hours produced Viennese buttons, digestive biscuits, Maltesers crunch bars, Millionaire's Chocolate Tart and some jam tarts. Not content with that, I then went on to make a chicken casserole with cheesy herb dumplings for dinner on Tuesday, which was absolutely delicious!
Aside from all the baking, I have been making Christmas presents; crobots. If you have never heard of Nelly Pailloux's book, I would strongly urge you to drop what you're doing and go and buy a copy now. Young Izzy spotted the book in our local bookshop and Jay hardly missed a beat when I showed him the 20 irresistible amigurumi robots and bought it almost instantly. I immediately started to crochet the minute creatures and have now completed nine of them, have two more being sewn up at the moment and another nine to make. I just love them! They are so cute, and each one has its own personality and purpose! I think it's a wonderful idea and can't stop praising their creator, Nelly Pailloux, for her ingenious creations!
If you didn't already know you were getting one of these little critters for Christmas, you do now. The only thing you don't know is which one I have picked just for you!
