Crobot Madness

I was so caught up with the crobots last week that I completely forgot to post - I'm sorry! Can you forgive me? Please?

As you can probably guess from the mosaic, I have now made all 20 Crobots from Nelly Pailloux's book, and we had a fantastic Halloween too!

The orange crème caramel cheesecakes were absolutely delicious and I hope to make some more soon, but these were from the week before really. The spooky spider cupcakes, hooting Halloween owls and pumpkin face cookies (recipes from BBC Good Food website) were all a hit, although none of them went to the trick or treaters in the end, because I hadn't finished making them when they started to knock the door! I did, however, manage to make the eyeball pasta, and everyone agreed that it was the best Halloween dinner they had ever had. Ask them if you don't believe me!

Food aside, let's concentrate on the crobots! If you haven't already gone out and bought yourself a copy of Nelly Pailloux's book, I urge you to do so immediately. I have enjoyed making these so much that I'm actually making some of my own! The first one is called "Docbot" and is going to be a present for our doctor, who has been very helpful to us this past year. I wanted to make something for him to show our appreciation, but felt that cross stitching something would be a bit over the top, as it is a lot of work and it may be a little overwhelming. Then I had the idea of designing my own crobots and along came Docbot! I started making him last night so should be able to share photos next week... I have another 14 bots in the pipeline too - so watch this space!

Time is getting short - I haven't done half the Christmas stitching I want to do, so I'm going to have to get my skates on, hence the short post.
