Fabric For Funky Fabrications

Do you like my little play on words there?! Anyway, I promised to share some photos of the delicious fabrics I have recently acquired, and here they are in order of purchase:
Muslin and organza

Fat quarters

Cotton prints and plain cream cotton

Cream floral braid
I didn't really want floral braid, but there was a limited choice of cream-coloured braid and this was the prettiest so this is the one I went for. I have cut and pinned the bright pink fabric on the left in the third photo ready for Izzy's laundry bag, and done the same with some calico for the lining, and hope to start cutting and pinning pieces for my new bag later on today, but I'm making a chilli so the bag might have to wait.

I bought an extra metre of the plain cream cotton to use for a wall hanging I have stitched (the wedding sampler). I hope to be able to take that in to post on Tuesday, but I'm trying to take it a bit easier at the moment as I don't want to over-do things and end up in pain for weeks and unable to do any crafts at all.

I am hugely inspired by the funky fat quarters I purchased when I got the muslin and organza for the corsage I'm making; I can't decide whether to make an abstract cushion cover with them or something a bit more fun... I'm going to have to start sketching these owls and pandas though...
