So much inspiration, so little time...

Yes, I know, months without posting, you thought I'd forgotten.... To be honest, I hadn't forgotten, I just didn't know what to write about. I try to write every couple of days or so on WordPress, and to regurgitate the same stuff condensed into a weekly bite-sized portion seemed a bit, well, repetitive to say the least. Now at last I know what I want to write about here, and I am actually looking forward to it!

So, the mosaic. The first eight photos are Easter projects that I have finished or am still working on. There is one missing because it's a surprise, but when I get onto the actual purpose for this post, I suspect that won't matter one jot!

This week I'm all about the inspiration. I have picked up a few fat quarters over the last few months or so, as well as a piece of fabric for the Easter banner and gift bags, and then Homestyle Sewing's cover gift was a monster kit. These fabrics are desperate for something to be done with them, the question is what? If you have any suggestions please feel free to comment below. I have a few ideas forming at the back of my mind, but they won't come to the surface, despite doodling and sketching. I am also drawing inspiration from a couple of crochet books (Creepy Cute Crochet by Christen Haden and Crobots by Nelly Pailloux), which I'm fairly sure I've shown you before, and some magazines. The inspiration is swimming around in my head and ideas keep forming and popping up to the surface, but I have been too ill to action them lately, so I have had to jot down some notes. I'm also very inspired by the new-look CrossStitcher magazine, particularly their The Savvy Stitcher section at the back.

So where is this inspiration leading me? I'm thinking crazy patchwork, monsters, cushions, curtains, laundry bags.... And some of these ideas overlap and interlace.

Can you guess what I'm going to make this week? What would you make with this collection of fabric and ideas? What would you like to see me make?

I can't afford to offer prizes for winners, but I hope you will join in and comment below for fun. We all need some fun in our lives, don't we?!

I am not going to promise to post again next week because I hate to break a promise, but I will try. Is that good enough for now? I will, of course, share photos of my creations as soon as there is something to take a photo of...
