I finally worked out the sewing machine and finished Ollie's laundry bag (a lined drawstring barrel bag), the curtain for my craft room/office and some napkins, which I embroidered with our initials. I removed my thumb rings and now my thumb and wrist are feeling much better!
Now that I have finished the pressing projects, I have lined up several more, including another lined drawstring barrel bag for Izzy's laundry.I'm going to use the leftover cotton print to make a soft toy, and Izzy has requested a panda... We'll see how that goes!
I have managed to finish the petals for the corsage I'm making, and one of the leaves, but the leaves are a bit more time consuming so it will be some time before I finish the corsage completely, especially since working so many small stitches starts to hurt after an hour or so.
I have so many different fabric remnants and fat quarters with such pretty patterns on them and I'm desperate to start making things with them, but there are so many ideas flying around in my head that it's difficult to pluck one out and put it down on paper! The first thing I plan to make after Izzy's laundry bag is a Union Jack satchel with floral cottons. I can't wait to start, but I have to learn a bit more patience when it comes to my crafts, and pace myself a bit better like I do with other tasks.
Photos of the projects I have already completed can be found on WordPress, Picasa and Flickr, and I will share some photos of my delicious fabrics next time (and hopefully my finished satchel!).
