The half-term break was a hectic one for us, with two extra people in the house; my eldest step-daughter came to stay for a week, and my step-son's girlfriend joined us for a few days. I was so busy that I didn't have time to put the computer on to do the accounts, let alone blog! So now that I have caught up with everything else, it's time to catch you up. I did indeed make the laundry bag and Union Jack satchel the weekend following my last post, and I also made a pocket tissue case to match the satchel:
This bag actually stays on my shoulder while we're out and about, which is a first, so naturally I am totally in love with it.
However, at the moment I'm all about crochet (but taking it easy because of my thumb) and am inspired by a few books this week:
Having already created my own Creepy Cute Druid, I am looking to design some characters from some of my favourite TV shows. I have named a couple on my other blog (follow the link for the Druid), but I'm considering a few others as well, so watch this space!
Another creation in the pipeline is a cushion for the folding chair in my step-son's room, which he finds intolerably comfortable. I'm going to use leftover fabric from his laundry bag (red and black check) and probably a double layer of thick wadding, and add a couple of ties to keep it on the chair (there's really no other way).
What has inspired you this week? What are you making at the moment? I'd love to see so please do share!
