First, I would like to wish one and all a very happy New Year. I hope your celebrations went according to plan and you had a wonderful time last night. We had a great time here, although we were all really tired and went to bed soon after midnight...
Anyway. Let me introduce you to my list of WIPs to blitz this year, in honour of Measi's "WIPocalypse". If you would like to know more, or would like to sign up for this, then hop on over to Measi's Musings. So, without further ado, here is my prioritised list of cross stitch WIPs for blitzing this year:
1. Elegant Geisha kit by Yiota's Xstitch
2. Baby Birdies birth sampler designed by Joan Elliott
3. Eastern Promise designed by Joan Elliott
4. Rejoice Maia kit designed by Monica Stewart
5. Garden Puppies designed by Lucie Heaton
6. Best Friends designed by Sue Hall
7. Tea Towel Wall Hanging from Zweigart
8. Cut Thru Cottage kit by Bothy Threads, designed by Amanda Loverseed
9. Bang the Drum a Country Companions kit by DMC
10. Calendar Pigs kit by Design Works
11. Dragon Isle kit by Janlynn/StitchWorld Inc
I guess since my list is so long, I have just over a month to complete each project. I don't think that will happen, since my thumb now screams after about an hour of stitching, but I will do my best. The second project needs to be finished by the end of April, as it's a birth sampler for my sister's baby, due on May 8th, and projects five and six are thank you gifts for my mother-in-law's sister (she gave me a sewing machine!) so these are my most urgent deadlines, and the first one is urgent because I keep promising Yiota I will stitch this kit she very kindly gave me for writing a review of her website and I feel bad that I just haven't got around to it yet. So long as I finish these four and make a start on "Rejoice" before the end of this year I will be happy. However, I have to catch up on photos and Christmas blog posts before I can start stitching, so I had better get on with it! I hope to start on Thursday (if not before) since we will have done the shopping and the kids will be back at school, so I should have a few hours of peace and quiet to concentrate in the daylight.
The next WIPocalypse post is due on January 9th, so until then, HAPPY STITCHING!!
