Yummy and Healthy Homemade Granola Bars!

These are so yummy and I truly feel tremendous very good about getting them above
the shop bought-stuffed with large fructose things-assortment

I tried to make them significantly less like a cookie.

Here's the recipe.
1/two cup butter (one dice)
1/two cup honey
2/3 cup packed brown sugar
five cups outdated fashion rolled oats
one cup wheat germ
chocolate chips or butterscotch as mix ins.

Just take the butter, honey and sugar and boil it
in a thick pan right up until comfortable ball phase...or 235* F
(I did not use a thermometer...I just did the spoonful in the h2o approach)
Then pour it on top of your oats and wheat germ...
blend nicely.
Push the blend into the foil lined pans...
(foil tends to make for super effortless cleanup and simple removal of granola)

I have got a tiny one allergic to chocolate...unhappy correct?
So I produced two/three with chocolate chips, and one/three with butterscotch
You could add any mixins you like:
coconut, raisins, craisins, yogurt dipped things,
nuts (I have got one particular with nut allergic reactions way too)
and no matter what you can believe of!
If you incorporate huge portions of nuts, get out the exact same sum of oats.

I sprinkled the mix ins on top and pressed them into the bars.
They melted, but it really is great like that.
sweet in every single bite!

Then stick the pan in the fridge for about twenty minutes.
Pull out the foil and set it upside down on your reducing board.
Just take off the foil and lower the bars.
(see how I reduce them...with a minor taster strip on the facet?)

Wrap them up in some plastic wrap...retailer in airtight container!
Will not refrigerate...or they will become difficult. Stays chewy
and great for about three weeks...if they last that lengthy!!

Excellent for faculty lunches!

And since I experienced a little "taster" strip...I permit my no chocolate man try it out!

Yep. Massive achievement!

DIY Army GUN and Tool Utility Belt

My son is severe about being a difficult soldier.
Actually, truly severe about it.
I picked up a inexpensive minor military toy established for him at Greenback Basic.
It was $ 5, and completely worth it.
But he essential a better carrying technique.
So, we had a twenty moment day jointly and created this!

I manufactured it very equivalent to these pencil cases I did close to Valentine's working day.

I utilized a strip of 1.five" webbing and some 3/4" black elastic.
I sewed the elastic on the finishes and in periodic increments...
producing them a minor tighter than the width of the stuff he needed to have...
given that the elastic would extend.

 Like so.

Since I only experienced one inch buckles...I took the finishes of the webbing
and folded them more than and sewed them in spot.
 Like so.

Then I could simply weave it through the buckle and sew it in spot.

20 minutes later on, I was the hero and he could go back to currently being amazing.
Easy adequate for him to set all the parts absent...
Not fairly confident what he is checking out...

Amazing!  This would make a great present
for a small boy in your existence!

Or you may possibly want a little toolbelt...

Or a duct tape bullet bandolier!

He enjoys challenging man stuff...but if you observed this every day like we do...
You might be obsessed too!

Origami Money folding: Shirt and Tie!

 Folding money is super exciting!
And, it really is enjoyable for tween/teen aged kids!
Here is a tremendous one particular...the shirt and tie!

Easiest to use a crisp greenback...but for training,
I'd cut some paper into the exact same size measurements:
2.sixty one inches by 6.fourteen inches

Below we go.
Fold your sheet in 50 percent the lengthy skinny way.
Fold one particular finish like the start of a paper plane...
creating a position.
Fold it more than on itself
Fold underneath that position to make a tiny tie...
this element is the trickiest...It really is just an accordion fold, so never worry.

Just raise up the flap, fold in and again...
re-smoothing the top crease.
Then fold the sides into the center fold, tucking them below your tie.
 both sides
Now, fold up the base edge about one/four"
Turn the monthly bill in excess of, and fold the flaps above like this...
to make your collar.
Fold it up again on to the facet with the tie...
about a quarter inch away from the foundation of the tie.
Unfold that very last fold and pull out the folded in edge of the greenback...
Just to generate the sleeves of the shirt.  You just need a small pinch.
Pinch out right the place you folded...
and fold the collar component of the shirt again up by the tie...like this:
 Now...the sleeves are upside down.
Continue to be with me, almost accomplished!
Fold the funds in half, so the sleeves display up by the tie the proper route...
Now your collar is upside down...
Fold the collar up so it displays up at the top by the tie...
the bottom will search like this:
And the collar flaps tuck over the top keeping it all in location without glue!
Okay, attempt it a handful of times and you will have the knack!
Here's a action by stage you can reference as properly...
source
and I think it in excess of complicates the tie,
but you at minimum see the process in photo type...

Perfect for money gifts or leaving guidelines!

And here's a tremendous simple Hawaiian fashion shirt...minus the tie.
Fantastic for young kids or starters...
